This Hexcopter is based on a lightweight frame, and a state of the art electronic flight controller - with GPS, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and barometric pressure sensors. It has carbon-fibre propellers and high speed ESC's, and lightweight, carbon-fibre landing gear. This hexcopter can hold its position in gusty conditions, while taking stabilised, HD video and still pictures - the camera being mounted on a controlled brushless gimbal, with manual pitch controll. At the same time it can downlink live video with a separate FPV system to assist in framing that perfect shot. We control every aspect of the Hexcopter from the ground using a combination of LOS (Line of Sight) and FPV (First Person View) through a multifunction transmitter, video goggles and/or a portable monitor. When the shoot is over with a flip of a single switch, the Hexcopter will autonomously land itself right back at the position it took off from.
